As part of the Evening, the College was also delighted to be able to give Students of the Year Awards to Jack O’Connell (Arts and Humanities), Aliza Askar (Science) and Abigail Pomeranc (academic excellence and overall contribution to the College). Principal Bernard Canetti praised the example Jack has set in combining cheerfulness and sensitivity to others with academic application. “Jack has brought other people together, and shown them how to work hard and enjoy themselves at the same time”. Aliza was nominated by her teachers for her relentless determination to achieve, commitment to study and exemplary positive attitude both inside and outside the classroom, while Abi Pomeranc has combined high achievement, an excellent attitude to study and a consistently energetic contribution to the life of the College.
