students happy

And we’re off!

Posted: 6th September 2018

I wanted to welcome all our students, new and returning, and I hope you are all enjoying the start of the new academic year. We’re off to a great start following the achievement of our outstanding A level and GCSE results received a couple of weeks ago. Now the focus is on you – to ensure you successfully work towards achieving your academic aims and, importantly, enjoy your time here at Brampton.

It is a busy start to term, with various activities planned. Next Thursday 13th September, we’re holding an assembly for our first year A level students that pitches all our enrichment activities, and we encourage as many of you as possible to get involved with an initiative. In addition to the enjoyment of taking part, it will help you get involved in College life, make new friends, and it may also be useful for university applications. From the student magazine (@BC), the student council or charity committee to the Young Enterprise, Duke of Edinburgh or various activity clubs, there’s plenty to choose from.

As part of our Inspire Programme for students, we will be hosting the Wilderness Foundation here on Thursday 20th September, 11.50-12.25. Whilst it is mandatory for all our first year A level students, we hope to see as many students and staff as possible attending. There’s plenty more coming up, including college trips and a series of well-being talks for parents – so please keep an eye out for further information.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best for a very happy and successful year ahead.

Bernard Canetti,
Principal
