Seventeen of Brampton College’s teachers took part in a superhero themed fun run in London’s Regent’s Park on Sunday alongside 3,000 others raising funds for various charities. Brampton College was raising money for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice. Whilst the spirit of the event was certainly ‘taking part’, Tim Mills, Head of Physics at Brampton, flew to the finish line to take first position in the 10km run.
Noah’s Ark is an expanding children’s hospice service, serving life-limited or life-threatened children and young people, and their families, living within the communities of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington. Noah’s Ark’s aim is to support these families, delivering flexible services that encompass the whole family – enabling them to live positive lives and face the future with hope.
Mike Wheeldon, Vice Principal, who took part in the run, explains ‘We want to benefit the community around us in Hendon and children in need on our doorstep. We’ve supported charities for many years. Driving citizenship and a sense of community is something Brampton feels passionately about. It is a spirit and an ethos we really encourage among our students ‘.
