a girl from a private college in London with her results

“Brampton is a place where second chances become success stories.”

Jasmine Teoh decided to retake her A levels to fulfil her lifelong ambition of becoming a doctor. She’s just achieved A*A*A and a place at the Hull York Medical School, starting in September.

Since the first day I stepped foot in the college until the very last day of the academic year, I have felt that the staff at Brampton have welcomed me with wide-open arms. Whilst most people dread going to school, I’ve always looked forward to coming into Brampton to learn and socialise with the many life-long friends that I have made here.

I could not have achieved my goal of going to Medical School without the help of my teachers. At the beginning of the year, I wasn’t confident in any of my subjects, but gradually the teachers boosted my self-esteem, enabling me to realise my potential and achieve the best possible grades. I can safely say now my confidence has been restored and I’m prepared for the next stage of my academic studies.

Brampton College is stand-out compared to my previous school. In particular, this is because of the willingness of teachers to help you reach your goal – whether it was marking past-year paper questions, helping me navigate the UCAS system or simply re-explaining a topic until I understood it. The amazing support network at Brampton is something I’ll look back fondly on in the future.

Brampton is a place where second chances become success stories. Whilst putting in your own hard work is key, Brampton ensures they’re there to help you every step of the way. It’s only been a year, but I’ve changed a lot since walking through the doors on my first day. I’m a much happier and content person. Thank you Brampton!
