Posted: 25th January 2018

The Department for Education’s Performance Tables were published in January based on exam results achieved in June 2017. We are delighted to announce that Brampton College remains the top performing sixth form college in London for the 17th consecutive year. Alongside this fantastic result, we have once again been placed 3rd nationally.

The national average point score is 32.39 which equates to a low grade C whereas Brampton College’s score is 42.54*, which shows that our students are achieving a grade A/B on average.

Nationally we are also in the top 5% for the A level Progress Score, and top in the London Borough of Barnet. This score measures progress from GCSE to A level, in comparison to similar students nationally, and indicates the level of ‘value added’ by the college. This measure demonstrates the growth in performance that students make at Brampton. Our high ranking in the A level Progress Score reflects Brampton’s ethos of individual care, support and attention, which gives students the opportunity to develop.

Bernard Canetti, Principal, comments, “We are thrilled that we continue to be the best sixth form college in London. Brampton’s ongoing success is very much due to our focus on providing academic excellence combined with the highest standard of pastoral care and individual support. As a result, our students’ confidence is steadily built so they become fully prepared for sitting their exams. Once again, these performance tables are a reflection of the outstanding education we provide, which in fact we can say is second to none!”
