A2 Politics Students- Discomfort of Strangers, David Goodhart

This article was written as far back as 2004, and first published in The Guardian. Ever since, it has provoked a great deal of sometimes impassioned discussion among those who teach Multiculturalism as part of the Politics A2 course. The great strength of the article is that it says clearly what until recently has been ‘unsayable’ – namely that in a multicultural society, explicit policies to promote multiculturalism may be unenforceable.

New Principal Appointment

After what will be six years with the college, our Principal, John Wilson, will be leaving us at the end of the current academic year to take up a new role at a school in Central London. We wish John well and thank him for his exceptional service and contribution to the college and his commitment to our students.

We are delighted to announce that Emma Bell, former Head of St James Senior Girls’ School, has been appointed as Principal and will take over from John in August this year.
