In January 2020, Brampton College was once again placed as the top performing sixth form college in London by the Department for Education* – for the 19th year running. The College also came third in the country. Nationally we are in the top 2% (and 5th in London*) in the Government’s A level Progress Score, which measures progress from GCSE to A level. A positive score means students made more progress, on average, than students with similar GCSE results. These achievements prove us to be the finest independent sixth form college in London.
As a specialist sixth form college we provide our students with outstanding teaching and a wide variety of subject options so that they can choose subjects that appeal to their interests, whilst simultaneously fitting their skill set. This leads to an enthusiastic group of young people whose confidence and performance flourishes.
The college was founded nearly 30 years ago with two classrooms only. Now, however, we have fantastic amenities including four recently refurbished laboratories, a stunning art studio and a supervised library for quiet study.
This combination of devoted, motivating teachers and superb, unique facilities allows our students to have a one-of-a-kind learning experience that leads to exceptional examination results. For example, in 2019 46% of our A level students achieved an A*/A grade, compared with a national average of 25%. Results like this allow us to maintain our reputation as the best sixth form college in London.
