In February 2017, Brampton College was once again placed as the top performing sixth form college in London by the Department for Education – for the 16th year running. The College also came third in the country. In 2014 the Department for Education placed us fourth out of over 2,600 schools and colleges in the whole country for Contextual Added Value, which measures how much progress students have made from GCSE to A level. These achievements are what prove us to be the finest independent sixth form college in London.
As a specialist sixth form college we provide our students with outstanding teaching and a wide variety of subject options so that they can choose subjects that appeal to their interests, whilst simultaneously fitting their skillset. This leads to an enthusiastic group of young people whose confidence and performance flourishes.
The college was founded 25 years ago with two classrooms only. Now, however, we have fantastic amenities including four recently refurbished laboratories, a stunning art studio and a supervised library for quiet study.
This combination of devoted, motivating teachers and superb, unique facilities allows our students to have a one-of-a-kind learning experience that leads to exceptional examination results. For example, in 2017 48% of our A level students achieved an A*/A grade, compared with a national average of 26%. Results like this allow us to maintain our reputation as the best sixth form college in London.
