For some students at Brampton, who have decided to sit their A levels for a second time, results day can be even more stressful. They have invested a further year in their studies, delayed going to university and waved good-bye to their friends from the previous year. Was it all worth it? A few of our students, who have just picked up their results, tell us a definitive “yes”!
Tej Thakkar has improved his grades to an amazing A*A*A and been awarded a place at LSE to study Accounting and Finance. He exclaimed “No way would I have expected these grades! It hasn’t really sunk in, I’m so ecstatic and I owe it all to Brampton.
I had no idea what I was doing in Physics especially and the teaching here turned it around. The one to one teaching and weekly tests make it impossible to slip through the gaps. It’s been such a different and positive experience. I’m Brampton’s biggest advocate, definitely come here if you’re considering it!”
Simran Sampat has improved her grades to ABB from CCD and achieved a place at the University of Warwick to read Psychology and she explains how she made the right decision to re-sit.
I was unhappy with my grades last year so made the big decision to come to Brampton. I started late in October, but the teachers and support staff were so helpful in settling me into the College and catching up with the work.
Everything was made easier by the small classes, extra sessions and the supportive environment. At the same time, you’re treated like an adult and given more independence. I made friends so quickly, never felt alone and found myself with like-minded students who wanted to work hard and achieve their best.
I’ve got my confidence back, and I feel now is the right time to go to university. Thank you Brampton!”
