One of our A level retake students, Maria, has achieved her dream of securing a place to study Medicine at University. She’s among four other retake students who achieved a place at medical school this year. Huge congratulations to them all.
Here, Maria tells us her story….
“I got my firm university place today to study Medicine at Liverpool – I’m super happy about that! I got AA in Chemistry and Biology and I’m so relieved!
Last year I applied for Medicine but didn’t quite make the grades. I came to Brampton to resit and the year has gone by so quickly. The teachers here just don’t compare to the ones I’ve had in the past. There’s constant support whenever and wherever I needed it. The weekly tests really helped me get used to the exam mindset. Everything helped me here!
For anyone out there who haven’t got their grades or university place, it’s totally worth taking another year to resit your subjects. It’s a hard thing to make that decision and to take another year – especially when your friends are going off to university – but the year really does go by so quickly. As long as you get your head down and work, it will happen!”
