Best Independent Sixth Form College

The Sunday Times released their league tables last week and Brampton College achieved the top position across England in its sector as an independent sixth form college. The College also moved up 65 places to be placed among some of the best academically selective schools in the country.

84% of the A level grades achieved by Brampton students are A*-B and 62% of GCSE grades achieved are A*-A which all round is a great accomplishment. It also represents its most successful year ever in GCSE results with the College excelling in subjects such as Geography and Art which had 100% A*/A grades, and English Literature which had 100% A*-B grades.

Bernard Canetti, Principal, comments “Our ongoing success is very much due to our focus on providing individual support and mentoring, where progress is monitored comprehensively. This means any problem areas are quickly identified and results in an outstanding education where our students’ are fully prepared – both academically and in terms of confidence – for sitting their exams.”
Student, Joyce Kam, who achieved A*A*A*A explains

I chose Brampton because they offered regular monitoring that other colleges don’t offer. The fortnightly reports and the one-on-ones both helped keep me on track.

More than the academic side of things, I’ve become a more confident person. Brampton teaches you to become an adult, it makes you more eager to learn. I’ve been reassured by my teachers and given a sense of self-belief I never had before.”
