Yousef achieved A*AAB in his A level exams this summer — results that have secured him a place to study Aeronautical Engineering at Queen Mary, University of London.
Speaking about his time at Brampton College in a chat with him on results day, Yousef is matter-of-fact about why he chose to come here in the first place. He explains that he knew Brampton could help him get to where he needed to be. There was no ambiguity about it — he had a specific goal, and he came to a place he believed could deliver it.
“You walk in and walk out with the best grades you can achieve and you want,” he says, summing up his two years in a single line.
Asked about the transition from his old school, Yousef doesn’t pretend it was effortless. Leaving behind a familiar environment and the people he’d known for years was, in his own words, hard. But he’s equally clear that any difficulty didn’t last long — making new friends at Brampton, he says, was easy.
With his A level results in hand and a place at Queen Mary, University of London confirmed, Yousef is now set to begin his degree in Aeronautical Engineering — one step closer to the career he came to Brampton to pursue in the first place.
