Information for relocation agents and family advisers
If you are placing a family in London with a child aged 15 to 18, we would be glad to help. We are the highest achieving independent sixth form college in London, based in Hendon, north west London, providing a rigorous academic education for young adults in an informal and highly supportive learning environment. We have a long history of outstanding results and were awarded ‘significant strength’ in our 2025 ISI inspection.
We combine that academic record with the flexibility mainstream schools can’t offer. We accommodate students arriving mid-cycle or outside normal admissions windows, and those who need an adaptable route through GCSEs or A levels. Unlike most independent schools, we welcome students directly into Year 11 and Year 13, which is often exactly when a family move happens. Students sometimes come to us at the age when a move could be most disruptive, and they come from all over the world.
This page sets out what we can offer your clients, when a student can start, how their existing qualifications fit, and who to speak to.
Who we can help
Many relocating families come to us for our two year A level programme, starting at the beginning of Year 12. Where we are particularly well placed to help is with the situations other schools find hardest to accommodate:
- A 15 to 18 year old arriving part way through their secondary education, particularly one going into Year 11 or Year 13, where most independent schools will not take new students or have no space in the year group.
- A student who has been studying an overseas curriculum and needs to move onto A levels for a UK or US university application.
- A family who has not yet chosen where to live, and does not want the school decision to be made for them by a catchment area.
- A student with a specific academic target, most often medicine, dentistry, engineering, veterinary science or Oxbridge, who needs the subject combination rather than the extracurricular programme.
- A student who has already started A levels elsewhere, at home or abroad, and needs to continue them without losing a year.
- A student who needs to resit a year, or a single subject, without repeating the whole programme.
