GCSE Results 2022

  • 66.9% 9-7 grades (A*- A) compared to 26.0% national average
  • 47.9% top grades of 9-8 (A*) compared to 15.1% national average

2018 was the first year in which pupils were graded by a 1-9 number system as opposed to the traditional A*-G grading. 9 is the highest and 1 the lowest. 9, 8 and 7 correspond to the current top grades of A* and A and this has been designed to give more differentiation at the top end. 9 has been awarded to fewer pupils than A* was previously.
