Moustaches will be growing all around the College this November. Brampton Charitable Trust will be sponsoring every Moustache grown by students and staff, all in the name of this very worthwhile cause.
The Movember Foundation are the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale. They fund projects addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Prostate cancer rates will double in the next 15 years, and testicular cancer rates have already doubled in the last 50 years. Three quarters of suicides are men. Poor mental health leads to half a million men taking their own life every year. That’s one every minute. It is a fantastic cause, and you can read more about them here.
There is also the opportunity for girls to take part. Their programme ‘Move’ is a way for women to be involved, as well as men who do not wish to grow a moustache! Read more about Move here.
We look forward to seeing many moustaches around the College this month, all for this wonderful cause. You can visit Team Brampton’s fundraising page here.
Happy moustache growing!
