Biology Students Visit Reading University

Posted: 9th March 2015

All of the final year Biology students attended the National Centre for Biotechnology in Education at Reading University. They carried out PCR, Gel electrophoresis and put plasmids into E.coli. The Brampton students worked in the type of lab they will use at university if they study undergraduate sciences, and the type of practicals they carried out are often done at university and beyond. All of the techniques had been studied in lessons, but this gave students a chance to try them out!
