Thank you to Yvonne Williams, Head of Undergraduate Recruitment, University of Birmingham, for coming to speak to our AS students and Parents about the path to university. As always, she was extremely well informed and helped to demystify the steps and decisions students will be making over the coming months.
This informative clip about what university admission tutors are looking for was shown.
Students have already met with careers staff and, before the summer break will have a 3 day workshop with their tutors and careers advisors. There will be a continuation of the careers lectures programme with talks on specific university courses. Students will receive guidance on completing their UCAS applications and writing their personal statements.
There is more information for parents on the UCAS website here
Brampton College has an excellent record of placing students at top universities. Last year 61% of our university entrants were placed in Russell Group Universities (the average for independent schools 37%, and nationally 11%). 70% of students were placed at their first choice (CF) university. This is a record we are extremely proud of and is a testament to the experience of teachers and staff at Brampton.
