Movember has come to Brampton!

Posted: 2nd December 2017

Team Brampton has raised over £1,000 during Movember this year. Brampton Charitable Trust is donating for every moustache that was grown, and all individual fundraising has been matched by the trust. This was Brampton’s first year having a Movember team, and raising £1,006 is quite the start!

The Movember Foundation tackles some of the biggest health issues for men worldwide: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

Prostate cancer rates will double in the next 15 years. Testicular cancer rates have already doubled in the last 50. Three quarters of suicides are men. Poor mental health leads to half a million men taking their own life every year. That’s one every minute. The foundation has funded more than 1,200 men’s health projects around the world in the 13 years.

We are thrilled with the fantastic start to Brampton’s work with the Movember Foundation, and we look forward to more moustaches next November, all for a fantastic cause.

New Principal Appointment

We wish John well and thank him for his exceptional service and contribution to the college and his commitment to our students.

We are delighted to announce that Emma Bell, former Head of St James Senior Girls’ School, has been appointed as Principal and will take over from John in August this year.
