As part of this week’s busy programme of UCAS events, we welcomed back a group of past students who came to talk about all things ‘university’. Topics included how studying for A levels is different to a degree course, the importance of looking for work experience or apprenticeships, tips for managing your finances as a student and other ways to prepare for your first year at university. With a panel of students from universities across the country, including King’s College London and the University of Edinburgh, there was lively debate around whether it was better to study near home or further afield. However, the importance of taking advantage of all the social activities, clubs and societies was agreed by all. The university students urged the audience to use their time at university to try new things and to broaden their friendships beyond their degree course.
Thank you to all our past students who came to sit on the panel, it was so lovely to see you all again. We wish you all the best for your final years at university.
