We were lucky to have Ellen Salter, a Sustainability Director at the company ThinkBeyond, joining a meeting with a group of students competing in the Design London Challenge. Ellen has worked to improve the sustainability of building designs and is currently developing the carbon and climate strategy for the 2026 Fifa World Cup. Benji B, Arlen C, Oliver P, Clinton H, and Mike N presented their design ideas to her over Teams. The Design London Challenge is a Mayor of London competition where students submit architectural plans to improve their local area. The group carried out a site appraisal and have been using Minecraft to build a model of their ideas. Ellen provided feedback and spoke about some of the ways they can ensure the building process is more sustainable, considering materials used and energy available. Their incredible finished project can be viewed here. We wish them the best of luck in the competition.

New Principal Appointment

We wish John well and thank him for his exceptional service and contribution to the college and his commitment to our students.

We are delighted to announce that Emma Bell, former Head of St James Senior Girls’ School, has been appointed as Principal and will take over from John in August this year.
