Last term, the Brampton Medical School forum for students applying to Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine has been an engaging and active part of the College. The large group of students from second year A level and one year A level meets each Monday to allow students to work collaboratively on their applications and the atmosphere is always positive and vibrant as the students share their knowledge and experiences.
We have been privileged this year to have been supported by so many of our rich alumni in this area as many of our former students have returned to College to support the applications of our current cohort. Huge thanks to Zahra (now 2nd Year Vet Med at Surrey) and Porshia (2nd Year Medicine at St George’s) for giving their time and offering mock interviews to our current students. Special thanks also to Nela (1st Year Medicine, Bristol), Arteen (1st Year Medicine, Queen Mary) and Artemis (1st Year Medicine, Oxford) who have also offered mock interviews and today came back to college to lead a full MMI (multiple mini-interview) workshop for our medical school applicants. The pictures here show this event in full swing!
This year another of our alumni (Eliana, 3rd Year PPE Oxford) has also been kind enough to offer her time to support our Oxford PPE applicant from this year’s cohort.
We’re so proud of our alumni and love to hear from them! Their enthusiasm to help others through the situations they experienced themselves only recently is wonderful to see.
Wishing all our interviewees luck this term!
