From a D to an A: Jack’s Journey at Brampton College

Posted: 22nd September 2025

Jack’s Results Day was more than just grades – it marked an incredible transformation made possible by hard work and the support of Brampton College.

After receiving a D in Physics, Jack decided to join Brampton’s one-year retake course. With determination, hard work, and the right support, he transformed his results – achieving an A in Physics and an A in Further Mathematics.

In the video below, Jack shares how Brampton’s unique approach helped him unlock his potential. He credits the tutorial system and weekly tests as being crucial to his progress, providing both the structure and personalised guidance he needed to excel.

Jack’s story is also one of renewed confidence. In a separate video, his proud mum explains how the phenomenal support at Brampton not only improved his grades but also rebuilt his self-belief. She describes how the college’s caring environment has made such a difference and says she would “highly recommend” Brampton to other families.

New Principal Appointment

After what will be six years with the college, our Principal, John Wilson, will be leaving us at the end of the current academic year to take up a new role at a school in Central London. We wish John well and thank him for his exceptional service and contribution to the college and his commitment to our students.

We are delighted to announce that Emma Bell, former Head of St James Senior Girls’ School, has been appointed as Principal and will take over from John in August this year.
