On Wednesday 22nd October, a group of 40 excited students and three brave members of staff headed to Thorpe Park for its famous Fright Night event — an evening packed with rollercoasters, haunted mazes, and jump scares around every corner!
From the moment they arrived, the atmosphere was electric. As darkness fell, the park transformed into a world of flashing lights, eerie sounds, and spooky surprises. Students raced to experience their favourite rides — from the dizzying heights of Stealth to the twists and turns of The Swarm — all in the dark, adding an extra thrill to every drop and loop.
Of course, no Fright Night would be complete without a few scares! Creepy characters lurked in the shadows, haunted houses tested everyone’s courage, and screams of laughter echoed across the park. Even the rain couldn’t dampen the excitement — if anything, it added to the dramatic atmosphere!
The trip was a fantastic mix of fun, friendship, and fear, and a perfect way to celebrate the spooky season.

After what will be six years with the college, our Principal, John Wilson, will be leaving us at the end of the current academic year to take up a new role at a school in Central London. We wish John well and thank him for his exceptional service and contribution to the college and his commitment to our students.
