Professor Robert Thomas came to speak to our potential medics about his interesting career in the field of oncology. He spoke about the fascinating careers a degree in medicine can lead to, and how his own career involves treating patients with breast and urological cancers, teaching medic students at Cambridge, instigating multiple national research programmes, writing as a health journalist and author of the book “How to Live”, publishing over 100 scientific papers, as well as promoting healthy lifestyles and eating habits at conferences all over the world. It was such an interesting talk – thank you so much for taking time to talk to us Professor Thomas!
Professor Thomas is the parent of a current student at Brampton. If any other parents would like to offer their expertise for careers talks, please contact Head of Careers, Lisa: lcarter@bramptoncollege.com
