Brampton College is celebrating another year of exceptional university progression, with 14 students securing places on some of the UK’s most competitive and prestigious healthcare courses.
This year, eight Brampton students have successfully gained places to study Medicine, five have secured Dentistry places, and one student has achieved a place in Veterinary Science. What makes these achievements particularly inspiring is that many of these students secured their places after making the decision to resit their A levels, demonstrating that success is not always defined by a first attempt, but by the commitment to keep striving towards ambitious goals.
Turning Setbacks into Success
Among this year’s success stories is Zaynab, who transformed her results from ABC to AAB through hard work and dedication. Her improved grades enabled her to secure a highly coveted place to study Medicine at the University of Aberdeen, one of the UK’s respected medical schools.
Sam also demonstrated exceptional determination. After initially achieving ABB, he chose to retake his A levels and went on to achieve an outstanding AAA*. His remarkable improvement earned him a place to study Medicine at the University of Sheffield.
Meanwhile, Tommy’s journey is another example of resilience paying off. Having originally achieved A*BC, he returned to improve his grades to A*AA, securing a place to study Veterinary Science at the University of Liverpool, home to one of the UK’s leading veterinary programmes.
Achieving Places on Highly Competitive Courses
Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science remain among the most competitive degree programmes in the country, attracting thousands of applications each year for a limited number of places. Securing offers requires exceptional academic performance alongside strong admissions test results, interviews and evidence of commitment to the profession.
For Brampton College students to secure 14 places across these sought-after disciplines is a testament to both their talent and their determination. Their success highlights the value of perseverance and the transformative impact of believing in a second chance.
