Special Achievements 2011

Brampton College was ranked 66th independent school in The Times A level School Results Table 2011, achieving 55% A*/A grades and 80.55% grades A*,A and B.

Brampton has a consistent record of outstanding results at A level.

In 2011 45 students obtained at least AAA grades (or equivalent points), 33% of the total number. 63% of students obtained ABB or better. The following students were among our many special achievers:

Mehdi Goudarzi Grades A*A*A*A*A* in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry after a two-year course, gaining a place to read Chemical Engineering at Cambridge University.
Essie Buckman Grades A*A*A in Art, Classical Civilisation and English after a two-year course, gaining a place on an Art Foundation course.
Diloushka Fernando Grades A*AAA in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics after a two-year course, gaining a place to read Medicine at Queen Mary, University of London
Natalie Barber Grades A*A*A in History, Religious Studies and Sociology after a two-year course, gaining a place to read Primary Teaching at St Mary’s University College.

New Principal Appointment

After what will be six years with the college, our Principal, John Wilson, will be leaving us at the end of the current academic year to take up a new role at a school in Central London. We wish John well and thank him for his exceptional service and contribution to the college and his commitment to our students.

We are delighted to announce that Emma Bell, former Head of St James Senior Girls’ School, has been appointed as Principal and will take over from John in August this year.
