From the moment we walked into Brampton, we all knew that this was the college for our daughter. I think the tone of a place is set the moment you walk through the door and, straight away, the Reception staff gave us a warm and friendly welcome. This set the perfect tone for the day and indeed for our experience ever since.
From the outset, it was clear that Brampton was keen to learn about our daughter and to make sure that Brampton was the right college for her. Pupils are treated as individuals at Brampton and everybody there works hard to ensure that individual needs are met.
Grades are obviously important but at Brampton, the welfare of the pupil and the learning experience given to them is of equal if not more importance. This makes Brampton a very special place.
From the day that our daughter joined it was clear that we had made the right decision. She had been ill for a year or so prior to this and had found it difficult to re-integrate into her previous school. In fact, it had got to the point where she had been unable to attend and had replaced school attendance with home learning.
In a short time, our daughter transformed from a child who cried every morning at the very thought of school and found it almost impossible to leave the house to one who sings in the shower in the morning and is always one of the first in college. She has a 100% attendance record which is entirely due to the learning environment that has been created.
Each pupil is treated as an individual. Brampton went to great lengths to find out about our daughter’s previous problems and to ensure that appropriate support was available. Thankfully, it was not needed.
Brampton expects pupils to work hard but encourages and gives them the tools to do so rather than pressurising them into it. They really do seek to foster a love for learning.
Communication with parents is also first class. Staff are always happy to answer queries and to meet if required. It certainly feels that we have formed a partnership with them.
I cannot recommend Brampton highly enough. The transformation we have seen in our daughter since she joined is nothing short of remarkable and it is entirely down to the ethos and teaching methods of the college. To any parent considering sending their child or children to Brampton, I would suggest that you see for yourself and then sign up as soon as possible.
You will not regret it!
