My time at Brampton College brings back many wonderful memories.
I moved from a small school just outside London, where I knew most of the students, to a college in London. At first, the transition felt daunting. I wondered how I would find my classes, whether I would make friends, what the teachers would be like, and whether I would enjoy the lessons. However, those worries quickly disappeared.
I loved being at College. It gave me a sense of independence, and I felt trusted and respected as a young adult. The common room was a fantastic place to meet new people, relax with friends between lessons, and enjoy some great conversations.
I thoroughly enjoyed my studies and had enormous respect for all the teachers who taught, supported, and guided me. As my time at Brampton College came to an end, I felt uncertain about my future, what to study at university and which university to attend. My sociology teacher, who truly inspired me, took the time to listen, offer advice, and help me think through my options. Her guidance played a significant role in my decision-making, and I remain grateful for her support.
The staff throughout the College were always helpful and approachable, from the Principal and teachers to the administrative staff and Head of Admissions.
A few months ago, I drove past the College with my children, and all these wonderful memories came flooding back. I shared my experiences with them and realised just how important my time at Brampton College had been in shaping my life. I am still in touch with some of the friends I made there, and one of them is now my sister-in-law.
Brampton College gave me far more than an education, it provided friendships, confidence, guidance, and memories that have stayed with me throughout my life. I will always look back on my time there with great fondness.
