Art & Photography Exhibition at Brampton College

The Art & Photography department at Brampton College once again showed why it’s one of the most successful and vibrant parts of the College, with a wonderfully impressive A level exhibition last week.

This year’s showcase was dedicated entirely to our A level artists and photographers, giving them centre stage and a chance to share the results of months of hard work, experimentation, and creative risk‑taking. It felt like a celebration not just of finished pieces, but of the journey each student has taken through the course.

Brampton’s Art & Photography department has built a strong reputation over the years for outstanding results, ambitious projects, and students who consistently produce work of a very high standard. The exhibition reflected that success in the best possible way—through the quality and variety of the pieces on display.

Current and prospective A level students, along with their parents, wandered through the exhibition with a glass of bubbly (or cold soft drink!) in hand, taking their time to enjoy the work and chat with staff and students.

For prospective students, the exhibition offered a clear and inspiring glimpse of what studying Art or Photography at Brampton can lead to. The standard of work on display made it easy to believe that many of these A level students are moving on to foundation courses, art schools, and creative degrees with strong portfolios and a solid sense of direction.

For current students, it was a chance to see what’s possible by the end of the course—and to feel motivated about their own projects. The exhibition quietly said: this is what you can achieve here.

Two women browse artwork in a bright gallery with white brick walls and wall-mounted prints?on display. Three adults in a bright gallery observe a large abstract painting on a white wall.  A small celebration: a woman in a beige dress hands a bouquet to a woman in a blue dress while others smile nearby, wine glasses in hand. Indoor terrarium on a wooden stand, with trailing variegated ivy draped over the glass and mirrors inside. Colorful collage artwork on a wall showing a seated woman; a second pink-toned collage leans on the floor, with a table nearby holding an open magazine.
