How Do Brampton College Tutors and Careers Advisers Support Students?

At Brampton College, every student benefits from the guidance of personal tutors and subject teachers who provide ongoing advice on subject choices and university applications. In addition, our experienced careers advisers are available year-round to guide students through the increasingly complex UCAS process.

This personalised approach helps students feel confident and fully prepared, from writing outstanding personal statements to excelling in university interviews. Those who receive college scholarships also have full access to this tailored support, ensuring equal opportunities for success.

What University Preparation Opportunities Are Available?

Beyond classroom learning, Brampton College offers an extensive programme of seminars and talks delivered by university admissions tutors and careers representatives. A specialist strand is available for students applying to competitive medical science degrees, including Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy.

Parents are also fully supported. Each Autumn term, the college hosts a welcome evening followed by an informative talk in the Spring term about university options and planning. Parents are encouraged to contact the College at any point regarding their child’s application journey.

What Universities Do Brampton College Students Attend?

Our comprehensive programme has consistently produced excellent outcomes. In 2025, 70% of applicants achieved a place at Russell group universities, including the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, Imperial College, UCL, University of Bristol, University of Warwick and King’s College London.

The College has an outstanding record of success in placing students on highly competitive courses. For example, in 2025, 12 of our students achieved a place on a Medical course.

New Principal Appointment

After what will be six years with the college, our Principal, John Wilson, will be leaving us at the end of the current academic year to take up a new role at a school in Central London. We wish John well and thank him for his exceptional service and contribution to the college and his commitment to our students.

We are delighted to announce that Emma Bell, former Head of St James Senior Girls’ School, has been appointed as Principal and will take over from John in August this year.
