In 2025, Brampton College students achieved outstanding A level results once again:

  • A Levels (2025): 44% of grades were A*/A, versus the national average of 28.3%.
  • University Destinations (2025): 70% of applicants achieved a place at Russell group universities, including the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, Imperial College, UCL, University of Bristol, University of Warwick and King’s College London.

As a college, we also recognise and nurture academic talent through our A level scholarships, which provide opportunities for high-achieving students to access this standard of education and progression to leading universities.

Why Is Brampton College Ranked as London’s Top Sixth Form?

Brampton College has a long history of academic excellence. Our students’ success reflects both the quality of teaching and the supportive environment we provide, helping them build the skills, confidence and results needed to reach their full potential.

How Does Brampton College Perform in Value Added Progress?

Alongside headline exam results, Brampton College has an exceptional record for “value added” achievement, which measures the progress students make from GCSE to A level.

A positive value added score shows that our students make more progress, on average, than peers with similar GCSE results nationally. In February 2025, the DfE ranked Brampton in the top 1% of all colleges and schools in the UK for value added performance.

What Were the GCSE Results in 2025?

Brampton College students also achieved excellent results at GCSE level in 2025:

  • 51% 9-7 grades (A*- A) compared to 23% national average.
  • An impressive 25% were at the very top grades 9–8 (A*) compared to 13% national average.

Since 2018, students have been graded on the 1–9 scale instead of the traditional A*–G system. Grades 9, 8 and 7 correspond to A* and A, with grade 9 reserved for the highest achievers to create greater differentiation at the top end.

Why Do These Results Matter for Students?

These exceptional outcomes highlight Brampton College’s role as a leading independent sixth form in London. They reflect our focus on small class sizes, expert teaching and tailored support.

For ambitious students, our A level scholarships provide an added opportunity to benefit from this proven path to academic success and progression to some of the UK’s best universities.
