Brampton College Adds Value

Brampton College came 9th out of over 2,900 schools and colleges in the country in the DfE league tables showing how much an institution has improved a student’s performance from GCSE to A level.

The Contextual Value Added table, based on results published in January 2011, is a measure of improvement in students’ performance, taking into consideration socio-economic factors. A score of 1,000 shows students have done as well as expected, considering their GCSE scores. Schools and Colleges with a score of 1050 and above are in the top 1% nationally.

Brampton’s score was 1,065.6 which placed us top in the London Borough of Barnet and 6th in London and surrounding counties (out of 774 schools and colleges). In the national table we are placed 9th in the country and 4th in 2009.
