Shirel writes ‘This year in the charity group, we have decided to donate money to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice’. We came to a group decision to make a bake sale, where we sold home made cupcakes and chocolate cookies. A couple of girls and I met at a friends who had offered her kitchen for the baking. We baked and also beautifully wrapped the baked goods ready for sale.
During the sale we went around the school as well as to the Churchill House offices to sell. Overall, it was a rewarding experience, and it felt good to give back to the community. We are eagerly looking forward to our next event’.
The sale raised in excess of £230 which is a great start to this years fundraising. The next event selling festive gifts will be on Wednesday, 9th December followed by an end of term concert.
