students happy

Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

Posted: 16th December 2025

Despite it being the final full week of term, last week was still very busy and very active. Most notably, the AS Winter Fair was a roaring success, making over £200 in an hour for EduKid which will be matched by the Brampton Charitable Trust. It sounded great fun from where I was sitting, with a particularly powerful rendition of ‘Let It Go’ from the ‘Frozen’ soundtrack – one of my personal favourites! Thanks to teachers Resham and Adam – you’ve both done great things with the enrichment programme this year and this was another big success.

There was also a Modern Languages Department trip to Cine Lumiere to see the historical animation film, ‘La Plus Precieuse des Marchandises’ (The Most Precious of Cargoes) about a poor couple who rescue a Jewish baby girl thrown from a train in Poland during WW2. It is a moving story, and the students took more from it than just an opportunity to practice their French.

Congratulations to lower sixth students, Naomi, Kitan and Abdurrahman who will form our Student Ambassador team from January onwards with Maisie who has the honour of being appointed our Lead Ambassador! Her speech in application for the post was touching and included her telling us how Brampton had ‘changed her life.’ At least one GCSE Ambassador will join the team soon.

Finally, please take a moment to admire the festive photograph taken by Tom L (lower sixth student)
on an impromptu Photography department outdoor shoot this week! If it doesn’t put you in the
mood for the coming festivities, well nothing will!

With all good wishes for the holidays and here’s to a great 2026!
